Ticco Barbera del Monferrato DOC
Production area: Ovada's village.

Grapes: Barbera single varietal.

Alcohol content: 14,5% vol.

Vinification: de-stemming, maceration is conducted for about twelve days with intense pump-overs, punching down the cap, conducted at a specific and controlled temperature. After racking for 7/8 days.

Organoleptic
Colour: very intense ruby red.
Perfume: fine, intense and varied, shows off beautiful shades of plum, wild herbs, sweet spices, cloves and vanilla.
Taste: fully and elegantly structured, from high alcoholic content balanced by a pleasant sour vein, infinitely persistent and long.

Serving temperature: 16-18°C in large glasses.

Pairings: This wine pairs with meats like pork and roasted pork shank and dishes such as hare, pheasant and venison, also very good with mature cheeses like Parmigiano (thirty-six months old), Pecorino di fossa, Raschera mountain pasture.
